Equipment Issue

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT PROVIDED BY THE OHFCL:

- 1 helmet

- 1 guardian cap

- 1 set of shoulder pads

- 2 knee pads, 2 thigh pads

- 1 pair of game-day socks

- 1 pair of game-day pants

- 1 game-day jersey

- 1 pair of practice pants

- 1 belt

- 1 chin strap

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT NOT PROVIDED BY THE OHFCL:

- Mouth piece

- Girdle (hip pads, butt pad)

- Shoes (cleats)

*** ATTENTION ***

- If your child is given a Zenith helmet, please do not change or replace the chin strap. The chin strap is an integral part of the helmet and is designed for that particular helmet.

- If any of the gear does not fit correctly or is damaged during practice or games, please inform your coach and the equipment manager for repair or replacement.

- DO NOT CUT THE BELTS. The equipmnet manager will adjust the belt at time of issue. If you feel the belt is too long, please see the equipment manager.

- Football equipment issued by the OHFCL is to be used for authorized practices and games only.

- DO NOT MAKE ANY TYPE OF MODIFICATION TO THE GEAR. If the gear does not fit properly, please see the equipment manager.

- Do not put your child's name on any of the gear issued by the OHFCL.

GEAR RETURN

- At the end of the season, all gear issued by the OHFCL must be returned. Date and times will be determined at the end of the season.

- Please wash and clean all of the equipment prior to returning.

- PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR GEAR GETS CHECKED IN AND SIGNED OFF BY EQUIPMENT MANAGER.

- Any football gear (e.g. helmet, guardian cap, knee/thigh pads, belts, practice and game pants, shoulder pads) and/or cheer gear (e.g. pink pom-poms) issued by the OHFCL to a participant at the beginning of (or during) the season MUST be returned at the end of the season during days/times announced by the League.

- If the gear is not returned within two weeks of the end of the participant's season, parent/guardian will be sent to third party collections and will be ineligible to register for the next season until all fees are paid.

 
General Information

Welcome to the Oak Harbor Football and Cheer League (OHFCL). Our League is a member of the North Sound Junior Football League (NSJFL), which is a "high school feeder" model youth football/cheer league.

2020 Registration and Refund Information:

  • Registration will open March 15th, 2020
  • Cost until 6/15 (for football and cheer) - $225.00 per participant
  • Cost after 6/15 to July 15th (for football and cheer) - $275.00 per participant
  • Cost after 7/15 is $300.00
  • Boys AND girls can register for football; girls AND boys can register for cheer.
  • We currently DO NOT offer a sibling discount for having multiple children in the League
  • Refund policy (per current OHFCL Bylaws):
    • Full refund of a fully-paid registration fee up to the first day of practice
    • After the first day of practice, a refund of $50 is given in the event of a season-ending injury (prior to the first game AND with a doctor's note)
    • There are no refunds for members who decide to quit the team
    • Full refund may be paid to a player's family if the family moves more than 30 miles from Oak Harbor prior to gear issue

Age Groups:. The player's/cheerleader's age on 7/31 shall be the player's/cheerleader's league age for the current season UNLESS specified otherwise. No 15-year-olds or 9th-graders are allowed to play in the OHFCL and the NSJFL.

  • Seniors - 13 & 14-year-olds
  • Bantams - 12-year-olds
  • Juniors - 10 & 11-year-olds
  • 89ers - 8 & 9-year-olds
  • Peewees FOOTBALL - 7-year-old (MUST be 7 by 10/1)
  • Peewees CHEER - 6 & 7-year-olds (MUST be 6 by 7/31)
