2021 Spring Season

Dear OHFCL Families,

After the announcement of Healthy Washington Road Map plans the NCYFL and the OHFCL boards each met to discuss the possibility of a spring football season.  The decision has been made to try and proceed.  The tentative schedule is as follows:

Jan. 18     Registration opens

Feb. 15     Registration closes

Mar. 1                           1st Day of Practice

Mar. 20                         1st Game

May 1                            Playoffs (Semis)

May 8                            Super Saturday (Championships)

On February 15 we will determine if we have enough players to form teams.  If there are not enough players to form teams the league will issue full refunds.

Unfortunately we will NOT be offering Cheerleading this spring. Due to the short window for ordering uniforms and the uncertainty of the season we do not feel we can offer a quality cheer experience at this time.

If we have enough players to form teams, practices will be three days a week for two hours each.  The league is trying to work with baseball and soccer to schedule practices/games so players have the option of participating in both sports without too much conflict.  In order to minimize the number of people at practice fields during Phase 1 all practices will be closed to spectators.

GAMES CAN ONLY BE PLAYED IF WE ARE IN PHASE 2 and even then the total number of people present must be limited to 200.  Players, coaches, officials, and parents are all counted as part of the 200.  We may have to limit the number of spectators at games in order to remain compliant.  If our Region does not make it into Phase 2, or we are rolled back from Phase 2 to Phase 1, no refunds will be issued after the first day of practice.  Due to the shortened season length and uncertainty of being able to play games the registration fee for the spring season has been reduced to $100.00.

Our player’s safety always comes first.  The league will be following ALL safe return to play guidelines and WIAA regulations including facemasks, temperature checks and social distancing.

We hope you have all been staying safe and healthy during this past year.  We look forward to seeing you all again real soon.  Go Wildcats!

Eric Marshall

OHFCL President
